The Age-Friendly Festival's live entertainment is presented through a partnership with the Arts and Cultural Alliance of Sarasota County's 2017 InspireSarasota!, a two-week celebration of arts and culture.

10:00 a.m.    Sarasota Opera

Artists from Sarasota Opera's 2017 Fall Season will be performing selections from operas for your listening enjoyment.

10:30 a.m.    Sailor Circus Academy

 

11:00 a.m.    Sarasota Contemporary Dance

Sarasota Contemporary Dance will be presenting an interactive dance set to live drumming — audience members of all ages and physical abilities are invited to participate with the teaching artists in a fun and energetic movement class.

11:35 a.m.    Synia Carroll and the Billy Marcus Trio

Jazz Vocalist Synia (sin-‘ni-ah) Carroll will be bringing an engaging effervescence and skill to her performance, inspiring toe-tappin' and finger-snappin' to some classic jazz melodies.

12:15 p.m.    Sarasota Cuban Ballet School

Students from the Sarasota Cuban Ballet School will be performing excerpts from the holiday favorite "The Nutcracker."

1:00 p.m.    Renesito Avich From Cuba

Renesito Avich will be showcasing the unique sounds of the tres guitar through his compositions that use the expressive resources of classical music, jazz, and world music.

2:00 p.m.    First Brass Five

The First Brass Five will be performing music for all ages, including tunes from movies, TV shows, and sporting events. Don't miss this upbeat set of music that is familiar to all ages.

3:00 p.m.    Westcoast Black Theatre Troupe

WBTT will be stirring things up with a Motown medley full of dance-friendly rhythms that will get people of all ages toe-tapping, hand-clapping, and moving!

3:15 p.m.    Jazz Club of Sarasota

The Jazz Club of Sarasota will be presenting “straight-ahead” swinging jazz by some of our town’s top musicians, celebrating America’s original musical art form.
